COVID-19

Whilst the transmission of COVID-19 persist to be a challenge for communities around the world, the safety and well-being of our travelers is always our top priority. We know many of you are dreaming of safaris in the splendid savannahs in Tanzania and are eager to plan your trip. In today’s unpredictable world and travel industry, we understand that travelers are more wary when managing their travel plans and may have more queries and questions. At Mega Adventures we are always here to support you every step of the way and help you plan the best trip for you and make the process as easy as possible.

Before your arrival

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic everyone travelling to Tanzania must complete the Public Health Surveillance Form online within 24 hours before arrival. Children traveling with a parent/guardian, will also need to complete their own form.
Together with the Public Health Surveillance Form all travellers must undergo a rapid test upon arrival, which costs $10 per person. Payment can be done online or upon arrival. We advise you to bring USD in cash for the payment upon arrival.

Vaccination

In August when Tanzania received the first vaccine batch which was a consignment of over 1 million doses our guides got in line. Our guides wanted to do their part to keep guests – and themselves – safe, when carrying out safaris.
All together you can relax well-assured of your safety on your safari when traveling with Mega Adventures.

Accommodations

All accommodation we use have implemented safety procedures to keep you including guides and staff safe whilst traveling and to help reduce the spread of the virus.

Covid risk free booking policy

As with any travel, the anticipation and preparation are part of the fun; we want you to enjoy it without the stress that comes with the current unknown. We would like to introduce you to our risk free Covid times booking policy. This is valid to 31.12.2022

1. Only 20% deposit is required to confirm your tour, this deposit can be used in case you wish for a date change or imposed travel restriction. 50% of the amount payable 21 days prior to your departure and the remaining can be paid in Cash on arrival.

Covid cancellation policy

As we always recommend you to postpone and not cancel your trip for many good reasons we however have the below very flexible policy for you in case if you wish to cancel your trip. The below will apply for new bookings until 31.Dec.2022.

1. Mega Adventures will not retain any amount for any cancellation unless for 18% taxes to all the deposit made, and any amount that has been retained by the accommodation that has been booked for you. Please note that accommodations and other third parties have stricter loss of deposit policies
