In 2019, my family and I vacationed in Tanzania.
We had booked the holiday a year before via Mega Adventures Travel Ltd.
I dare say it is the best vacation we have ever been on.
We visited 4 national parks:
– Tarangire
– Lake Manyara
– Ngorongoro
– Serengeti
And after this huge experience, we ended up climbing the “light” part of Kilimanjaro. Also a very great experience.
Tanzania is an absolutely amazing country, with a population that is very friendly and welcoming.
When traveling in other parts of the world, one thing struck me right away:
The population consists of approx. 35% Muslims and approx. 30% Christians and approx. 35% of other religions or combinations thereof, but as the only place in the world, people live and work side by side in peace and tolerance. Here, even marriages across religion are seen.
I can definitely recommend Mega Adventure Travel Ltd.

20 minutes before reaching the top of Meru. I was already very exhausted when Daniel put his arm around my shoulder, pointed at the huge mountain in front of us and said: “Now we’re almost there!” I didn’t feel like that, more like now we are going to climb all the way from Arusha up to the top. In those 20 minutes I hated the mountain, hated myself and was wondering how people can get the idea of climbing Kilimanjaro?! Until 1 m under Tanzanian flag I was sure that I will not make it. Until finally I got up, saw some group members and guides from the days before, welcoming me with “Melina! Congratulations!”, sunrise and Kilimanjaro in the background.

Safaris guide, Ally, exceptional, conscientious, kind. Masewe also exceptional. Tents a bit small for 2 adult esp. when tents are a bit warm.
Serengeti Camp ground bathroom really bad!! Doors off hinges, others don’t close, toilets clogged, no toilet seat.

The best thing for me on the tour was that we always had a lot of time to observe every animal/group of animals – the herd of elephants, calving of the wildbeast, watching baby-lions chasing birds, completing the big 5 on the last day with a very peaceful morning spent with two rhinos. Our guide Yassin took very good care that we see all animals in the most interesting situations without creating stressful time schedule. I definitely appreciated our way of communicating (we always has the chance to ask for changes or anything) and the funny, relaxed and natural atmosphere in the car. Also the walking safari for the beginning was a great experience with a guide (Fredy) full of passion for his job. All in all the whole planning was fitting very well, starting from Tarangire and ending in Ngorongoro Crater. The best starts and endings of the days were for sure the amazing sunrises and sunsets (with car-photo shooting). Was worth it to get up early in the morning. The accommodations were just perfect for the night feeling close to the nature and an impression of luxury not having to take care about packing or unpacking our tent. Massawe was always cooking and preparing way too much delicious food! Definitely a highlight for our last day: The breakfast nest to hippos in the crater. This safari was just a perfect experience that I will never forget!

Having private tour gave us an opportunity to as much time with certain animals as we wished for. Our guide has got big knowledge about animal behavior what helps us to see all the big five more than one time. I even don’t know how to start, maybe from the information that we were very lucky during our safari we saw animals in amazing situations, hunting, running, fighting and even giving birth!
We saw Leopard 3 times (Male & Female) and always had the opportunity to stay and observe the animals longer than people usually do, all of this was possible thank to our guide Yasin who really cared about us and wanted to make us happy. He was always asking us if we wanted to stay longer observing an animal or go further. Every evening we were talking about the previous day and fixing plans for the following day. We had all the time the feeling that our opinion is very important to our guide. He surprised us many times showing us how good he is in predicting animal behavior. Thanks to him we saw a Leopard going down the tree (he predicted that we needed to wait for this a little bit) and hunting Cheetah (he predicted that the laying animal will soon hunt). We saw Rhinos because he knew where to look for them and were to go to have the closest look at them. We are very thankful.
In addition our cook Massawe was always taking care of us our tents and our comfort, preparing delicious meals that I couldn’t stop eating. In fact I think I put on weight 
Walking safari in Tarangire was an experience that I will never forget. Perfect introduction for driving safari. Fredy our walking guide made the experience special.

We did 10-day safari and loved every minute of it. Yassin was a phenomenal safari guide. He is very knowledgeable about the animals and was able to teach us a lot and answer every question we had. Yassin knew the parks very well and was able to find animals we had hoped to see, including a cheetah hunt, which was incredible. He gave us a very personal safari experience and we saw many animals that other safari cars had could not find.
Massawee’s food was excellent and he always went above and beyond to exceed our expectations. Everything was fantastic.
We would highly recommend Yassin and Massawe, they make a good team.

Every park was phenomenal!! Seeing the BIG 5 was a definite highlight. I also really loved how close we got to the animals such as elephants, buffalos etc. I loved every part of the safari! Serengeti seeing so many big, wild animals up close: male lion on hill, lions eating, cheetahs hunting, cheetah with babies, elephants, giraffes etc. Lake Manyara was also fun, with the baboons, giraffes etc. Walking out on the “bride” on the lake was really nice.
We could see all this and much more thanks to our guide Yassin. He spotted so many animals that we would otherwise not have seen, he explained a lot about them, about the masai people and life in TZ. He also made sure we arrived in time to the night places.
In short: He showed us all the best animals, and because knowing how they act/move, we also always got the best spots. He would for sure be worth a par rise 
All hotels/tents were also great. Particularly the last one!
