In an industry filled with tour companies, it can be a tough call to decide which company to book your trip with. Ultimately, the company you decide to safari with holds it in their hands to make or break your trip so choosing the right one is of utmost importance. Here at Mega Adventures, we don’t look at your trip as an opportunity to do business, but more importantly as that one rare chance you’ve granted us to show you the awe inspiring beauty of our country, to turn your lifelong dreams into a reality and to ‘infect’ you with a piece of Africa that will keep you longing for more long after you’re gone.
As part of our sustainable tourism policy, we offset the carbon emissions from each safari we conduct, ensuring that the only mark you live on the environment are the tyre tracks from your safari vehicle. We chose to offset our unavoidable emissions through Carbon Tanzania, a social enterprise whose innovative approach to habitat conservation is based on selling carbon offsets that result from keeping carbon locked up in forest ecosystems. This, we believe, reduces the impact our operations have on the environment and ensure that our clients’ visit matters.
Having being guides ourselves, we know firsthand that the quality of a guide is the single most important factor to the success of any safari, be it a budget or a high-end one. Because Safari guides hold it in their hands to make or break dreams, we handpick, train and test all our guides on a continuous basis, ensuring that each one of them is well versed in the safari trade and maintains the highest guiding ethics.
Since the safari vehicle is your primary mode of transport and one in which you’ll spend a considerable amount of time throughout your safari, we take utmost care in ensuring that it’s always fully serviced and has all the necessary amenities to make your safari is as comfortable as possible.
Each of our safari cars is equipped with a fridge to cool your drinks, a charging outlet to keep all your devices fully charged, Binoculars to help you spot distant game and bean bags to help steady that heavy lens. Cushioned, reclining window seats are a standard feature, as is the pop-up roof that offers a 360o view around the vehicle. Ample leg space between seats ensures you don’t have sore knees at the end of a long day.
We’ve always tried to carve out a niche for ourselves in the crowded safari industry by being different and offering more than just tours to the national parks. We combine most of our national park safaris with wilderness walks, authentic cultural interactions, Night game drives for those interested in the quest of the nocturnal species, Boat safaris when visiting the southern safari circuit, Motorbike safaris for those with the passion of rolling on two wheels, Self drives where your limitation is only your imaginations, Climbing for those who have an obsession with mountains leaving one with a lasting impression of Tanzania.
