 Description

The Kikuletwa Hot Springs, also known as Maji Moto, is one of the hidden gems of Tanzania that you need to visit. A paradisaical oasis surrounded by the Tanzanian savannah. Although the animals of the savannah migrated from this area long ago, it is still home to many animal species, including a great bird variety.
Garra rufa fish inhabits the water so when in the water you may feel the small fish come nipping at your feet as if you were in a fish spa.
Despite the name – hot springs – the water is more lukewarm, which is nicely refreshing especially on a hot day.
With its captivating, almost unreal, turquoise crystal-clear water you can easily see the bottom, which is covered with big tree roots and boulders. The water is surrounded by palm trees and fig trees creating a secluded feeling.
