Ally was really good at spotting the best places to observe and photograph the animals. We saw nothing less than 15-20 lions. And his medical advice was priceless, haha. Thanx!
I didn’t feel prepared for the visit in the “Masai Village”. In general I try to respect local residents when I travel and want to meet people as equal. But in this situation I found myself “forced” to explore something which seemed to me staged as authentic masai culture, and then expected to pay $50. I felt it was just a show to get dollars out of disrespectful tourists. Than want a picture of themselves together with a real masai person. Now I have nice a picture, but a bad taste in my mouth Almost the same taste as when you meet the porters carrying way to much stuff on their head so that rich tourists can climb Kilimanjaro. Humans are not animals, but they are also not all just ignorant money-bags. Asante sana!
